ISUZU Heavy Duty Machine Repair: How to remove an Isuzu engine mount

This article is mainly about the removal steps of the ISUZU 4JJ1 Euro 4 N Serie engine bracket

Removal

1. Remove the right engine mount

a.Drain the engine coolant.

b.Remove the air intake pipe and hose.

·Remove the hose on the intercooler side.

Remove the hose on the intercooler side.

·Remove the pipe from the turbocharger with the hose attached.

c. Remove the generator.

Refer to "Generator"in Section 1E, Engine Electrical.

d. Remove the exhaust adaptor bracket.

e. Remove the water inlet pipe.

f. Remove the EGR valve harness clip(1).

g. Install the engine hanger to the rear left side of the engine.

Tightening torque;25 N-m(2.5kg-m/18 lb-t)

Special Tool Engine hanger.5-8840-2861-0

NOTE: Use the mounting bolts (8 mm(0.31 in) in diameter,1.25 mm(0.05 in) in pitch and 20 mm(0.79 in) in the length of under head) and install.

h. Suspend the engine using a hoist.

i. Remove the installation nut of the engine cushion rubber.

j. Remove the mounting bolt of the engine foot.

k. Lift up the engine assembly and remove the cushion rubber and cushion rubber cover together with the engine foot.

2. Remove the left engine mount.

a. Remove the boost sensor connector(1) and the hamess clip.

b.Remove the air intake duct and hose.

Remove the duct on the intercooler side.Remove the duct from the intake throttle valve with the hose attached.

c. Remove the left side noise cover.

d. Remove the upper let side of fan guide bracket.

e. Remove the installation nuts(1) of the heater pipe bracket.

f. Remove the EGR valve harness clip(1)

g. Disconnect the supply pump SCV connector.

h. Install the engine hanger.

Tghtening torque;25 N-m(2.5kg-m/18 Ib-ft)
