This article is mainly about the installation steps of the 4JJ1 Euro 4 N Serie engine bracket together with the engine foot.
ISUZU US-IDSS Diagnostic Service Truck Diagnostic System [06.2021]
Installation
1.Install the right side engine mount.
a.Set the cushion rubber and the cushion rubber cover to the cylinder block together with the engine foot.
NOTE：
Make sure to check the left/right identification letters marked on the engine cushion rubber before installation.
b.Tighten the engine foot mounting bolt at the specified torque.
Tghtening torque：51 N-m（5.2kg-m/38 lb-ft）
c.Slowly lower the engine rubber and the cushion| rubber cover
d. Install the engine mount and tighten it at the specified torque.
Engine foot side nut(1)
Tightening torque:106 N-m(10.8kg-m/78 lb-ft)
Chassis frame side nut (2)(Wishbone suspension)
Tightening torque:94N-m(9.6kg-m/69 lb-ft)
Chassis frame side nut(3)(Leaf rigid suspension)
Tightening torque:122 N-m(12.4kg-m/90 lbft)
Legend
1. Engine foot side nut

3. Chassis frame side nut(Leaf rigid suspension)
4. Engine cushion rubber installation position (Except NJS/NKS/NLS/NMS)
5. Engine cushion rubber installation position m(NJS/NKS/NLS/NMS)
e. Remove the engine hanger.
Remove the engine hanger on the rear left side of the engine.
After removing the engine hanger, insert the EGR valve harness clip into the bolt hole.
f. Install the water inlet pipe.
Tightening torque:25 N-m(2.5kg-m/18 Ib-ft)
g. Install the exhaust adaptor bracket.
Tightening torque:51 N.m(5.2kg-m/38 lb-ft)
h. Install the generator.
Refer to "Generator"in Section 1E, Engine System.

2.Install the left side engine mount.
a.Set the cushion rubber and the cushion rubber cover to the cylinder block together with the engine foot.
NOTE: Make sure to check the left/right identification letters marked on the engine cushion rubber before installation.
b. Tighten the engine foot mounting bolt at the specified torque.
Tightening torque:51 N-m(5.2kgm/38 lb-ft)
c. Slowly lower the engine, and set the cushion rubber and the cushion rubber cover.
d. Install the engine mount and tighten it at the specified torque.
Engine foot side nut(1)
Tightening torque:106 N-m(10.8kg-m/78 lb-ft)
Chassis frame side nut(2)(Wishbone suspension)
Tightening torque:94 N.m(9.6kg-m/69 lb-ft)
Chassis frame side nut(3)(Leaf rigid suspension)
Tightening torque:122 N-m(12.4kg-m/90 lb-ft)
e. Remove the engine hanger.
Remove the engine hanger on the rear left side of the engine.
After removing the engine hanger, insert the EGR valve harness clip into the bolt hole.f. Connect the supply pump's SCV connector.
g. Connect the harness clip connector of the EGR valve.
h. Install the heater pipe bracket.
Tightening torque:25 N-m(2.5kg-m/18 lb-ft)
i. Install the upper left fan guide bracket.
Refer to "Water Pump"in Section 1C, Engine Cooling.
j. Install the left side noise cover.
k. Install the air intake duct and hose.

NOTE: Firmly insert the hose without any twisting or misalignment, and tighten the clamp to the specified torque.
Install the duct and hose between the intake throttle valve and intercooler.
Use a new hose clamp, align it with the marking.
Tightening torque:8N.m(0.8 kg-m/69 lb-in)
1. Connect the connector and harness clip of the boost sensor.
m. Refill the engine coolant.
