1. Ensure all component of the balance valve and the tube assemblies are free from damage, wear, or restriction. If necessary, replace any component that is worn, damaged, or not free from restriction.

2. If necessary, follow Step 2.a through Step2.e to install tube assembly(7).
a. Install tube assembly(7).
b. Loosely install bolt(17) and bolt(18) to the tube clip for tube assembly(7).
c. Connect tube nut (20) for tube assembly(7) to waste gate atuator(19).
d. Tighten tube nut (20) for tube assembly (7) to a torque of 20N-m(177 lbin).
e. Tighten bolt(11) and bolt(12) to a torque of
25N-m(221 lb in). Ensure that the tube clipsare not damaged as the bolts are tightened.

3. If necessary, follow Step 3.a through Step 3.e to install tube assembly(4).
a. Installtube assembly(4).
b. Connect tube assembly(4) to adapter(15).
c. Install bolt(16) to the tube clip for tube assembly(4).
d. Tighten the tube nut for tube assembly(4) to atorque of 20 N-m(177 lb in). Use a suitable toolto hold adapter(15) as the tube nut for the tube assembly is tightened.
e. Tighten bolt (16) to a torque of 26 N·m
(221lb in). Ensure that the tube clip is not damaged as the bolt is tightened.

4. If necessary, follow Step 4.a through Step 4.d to assemble balance valve(5).
a. Place balance valve(5) in a suitable support.b. Install a new O-ring seal(11) to adapter(10).
Install the adapter to balance valve(5). Tighten the adapter to a torque of 16.5N-m(146 b in).
c. Install a new O-ring seal(12) to elbow connection(14). Install the elbow connection to balance valve(5).
d. Align temporary marks on elbow connection
(14) and on balance valve(5). Tighten lock nut
(13) to a torque of 22N·m(195 tb in). Use a suitable tool to hold the elbow connection as the lock nut is tightened.

6. Connect tube assembly(4) and tube assembly (7)
to balance valve(5).
7. Install bolt (4) and bolt(8) for tube assembly(7).
Tighten the bolts to a torque of 25 N-m (221 ib in).
Ensure that the tube clips are not damaged as the bolt is tightened.
8. Tighten the tube nut for tube assembly (4) and tube assembly (7) to a torque of 13 N-m (115 lb in)
. Ensure that the tube assemblies are not damaged as the tube nuts are tightened.
9. Tighten bolt(6) to a torque of 47 N·m (35 lb ft).
Ensure that tube assembly(4), tube assembly
(7), and balance valve(5) are not strained as the bolt is tightened.

10. Connect harness assembly(1) to harness assembly(2)
