How to install an Isuzu engine intake manifold.

  NOTE:

Do not reuse the gasket.

Tightening  torque:      19 N·m(1.9 kg·m/14 Ib·ft)

2.Install  the  inlet  manifold  cover.(Euro2  specification

only)

Tightening  torque:     51 N·m(5.2 kg·m/38 Ib-·ft)

3.Install  the  oil  cooler  pipe.

·Appy  engine  oil  to  the  O-ring.

a.Attach    the    oil    cooler    pipe,and    temporarily tighten   them   in   the   order   specified   in   the diagram.

b.Securely tighten them at the specified torque in the order as shown in the diagram.

Tightening torque

Nut:                             19 Nm(1.9 kg·m/14 Ib-ft) Bolt:                            25 Nm(2.5 kg·m/18 Ib·ft)

4.Install the injection pipe.

NOTE:

Do not reuse the injection pipe.

a.Lightly  tighten  the  sleeve  nut  with  a  hand  so that it is attached airtight.

b.Securely tighten them at the specified torque in the order as shown in the diagram.

Tightening torque:     30 N·m(3.1 kg·m/22 Ib·ft)

 

5.Install the engine oil level gauge and guide tube.

·Apply soapy water to the O-ring.

Tightening torque:    25 Nm(2.5 kg-m/18 Ib-ft)

6.Connect the leak-off hose clamp.

Tightening torque:    25 Nm(2.5 kg·m/18 Ib·ft)

 

 

7.Install the leak-off pipe.

a.Attach the leak-off pipe,and temporarily tighten them in the order specified in the diagram.

 

 

b.Securely tighten them at the specified torque in

the order as shown in the diagram.

Tightening torque:    25 N-m(2.5 kg-m/18 Ib-ft)

 

8.Connect the engine harness clip.

9.Install the EGR valve.(Euro4 specification only)

Refer to "EGR Valve and EGR Cooler"in Section 6F,Engine  Exhaust.

10.Install the heater pipe.

12.Refill the engine coolant.

13.Connect the battery cable negative terminal.
